Hormuud Telecom Somali Inc. has recently distributed aid of 150,000 Kg of rice, 17000 liters of cooking oil to 6000 poor families living in the refugee camps of lower shabelle (No.50) region and some of Banadir region districts(Medina, Hamar-jajab and Hodan). During the distribution, every family received 25Kg of rice and 4 Liters of cooking oil.
Abdi-Rashiid Ali Eynanshe, the head of public relationship of Hormuud Telecom Somali Inc., said “this relief is a part of emergency food aid to help relief the famine and the people affected by the drought in Somalia”. He also mentioned “this is not the first time that Hormuud Telecom Somali Inc gives relief aid to the poor families in Somalia, but there were multiple times that Hormuud Telecom Somali Inc provided relief to the poor families in Somalia”.
